Frequent Questions

What is your photography style?
I consider myself a storyteller – as a former photojournalist, I aim to authentically capture the story of your day while creatively photographing moments. I am unobtrusive but when we take your portraits, I will have creative ideas and am happy to give direction to help with poses that will make you comfortable and look your best. I go to great lengths to capture your day from unique perspectives; to get the shot, I’ve waded deep into the bay, climbed up on roofs, and gotten soaked in the rain. Ultimately, it all comes back to capturing moments of your day when your closest family and friends are together and celebrating with you.

Do you photograph details and family group photos?
Yes, people from different parts of your life have come to celebrate with you and a lot of thought has been put into your wedding day.  I take all the images you would expect from any wedding photographer, but my goal is to go beyond those expectations and give you photographs that you'll be proud to frame on your wall.

How many photographs will we receive?
My goal is to tell your story with authenticity and artistry. I focus on quality over quantity, and hence the number of images I deliver from a wedding averages between 500 to 1200 photographs. That number depends on many factors, including the hours of coverage, type of event, and number of guests.

When will we see our photographs?
Photographing your wedding is the first part of my creative process.  After the wedding, I go to great lengths to edit your photographs and complete post production work.  It usually takes about six to eight weeks to complete your wedding photography collection.  Once everything is ready, your online gallery will go live for you, your family and friends.

What is the "online gallery"?
The online gallery is a private, password protected website where all of your wedding photographs will be placed online for you, your family and friends to view.  It is also possible to order prints, cards, and download images.  To share the online gallery with your family and friends, you simply provide anyone with the link to view.

How does the album design process work?
The album design can be previewed online and up to three rounds of revisions may be made before a change fee is required.  Once you approve the album layout, I will then help you choose the album cover, color and imprinting.  Once these items are all complete and you have approved, the album design will be sent to the printer. You have one year to make your album selections before the book is subject to a fee increase due to yearly production costs.

How do we hire you?
Go to the ABOUT tab at the top of this website and click on my email address to reach me with questions about availability, pricing and packages.  After we have discussed your wedding details, I will send you a contract to sign and request a 50% deposit.  Once I receive these two items, your wedding day is reserved and I look forward to capturing your day. The remainder is due the week before your wedding.
