V and J live in New York City, but their affection for the California wine country brought them, and their closest family and friends, to Napa Valley for an epic wedding weekend. Their love of food, wine, and big celebrations was experienced throughout. The weekend kicked off with a welcome dinner at V. Sattui Winery, where guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers in the warm evening air. At dusk, everyone retired to the barrel room, rich with the scent of wine and oak, for a wonderful meal.
For their wedding day, the stage was set at the well-appointed Napa Valley resort, Auberge du Soleil. With the stunning backdrop of Napa Valley behind them, the Bride and Groom said their vows during an Armenian wedding ceremony on the deck. While guests sipped cocktails, the Bride surprised everyone, especially her mother, by playing on the piano one song by an Armenian composer in honor of the Groom’s cultural heritage, and one by a Latvian composer in honor of her family’s history. Tears flowed, and applause reigned.
The evening was filled with dancing, and the energy exploded with a surprise performance by the Yerevan Dance Ensemble.
If their wedding is any reflection, V and J have a lifetime of great adventure and nothing but the best coming their way. Congratulations!
