Laura likes the city and Shawn likes the country. Despite their different backgrounds, they have a great respect and love for one another. Both of them have been willing to step out of their own comfort zones to make the other person happy. They now live in Northern California where Shawn is an investigator for Cal Fire. However, for their wedding day they chose the quintessential San Francisco venue, Presidio Film Centre.
Laura is one of three sisters and we grew up in the same neighborhood. I have fond memories of summer pool parties, Halloween trick or treating, sleepovers and shenanigans with their family. I was always envious of the sister bond — and their shared bedroom — when we would play. Having a younger brother just wasn’t the same. All of the kids grew up, moved away and went off into different professions, however our moms have remained good friends over the years.
On Laura’s wedding day, her sisters and mom were right by her side. As Laura’s sisters Julie and Ali described in their toast, when their father passed away when they were school-aged girls, Laura was the one that offered great support. In the years that have passed, they have welcomed their mom’s partner into the family and he walked Laura down the aisle with their mom.
Weddings can have a range of emotions – even in the same moment. Laura and Shawn’s wedding was a joyous day and a wonderful mix of all their favorite things in life.
Amazing imags! I love the way you capture the moments!
